General concept of modelling spacetime. Fundamentals of flat spacetime models: affine spacetime, world lines, time progress on world lines, absolute velocities, observers, Euclidean structure on the spaces of observers. Synchronizations. Splitting of spacetime into synchronization time and observer space; absolute and relative quantities.  Non-relativistic spacetime model: absolute time progress. Relativistic spacetime model: absolute light propagation; Lorentz structure.
